Overseer Jeremiah T. Herring is a dynamic pastor, leader, and creative visionary with over 15 years of ministry experience. Remarkably, he began his ministry journey at just 14 years old, demonstrating an early and unwavering commitment to serving God and His people. Since then, he has faithfully ministered in both Washington, D.C. and Raleigh, North Carolina, impacting lives across generations.

 A 2008 graduate of Howard University, Overseer Herring blends education, innovation, and spiritual insight to connect with people in meaningful and relevant ways. His leadership extends beyond the pulpit, as he currently serves as the Overseer of Marketing and Media for the Covenant Churches of America, Inc., helping to expand the reach and effectiveness of ministry in a digital age.

Overseer Herring has also been recognized for his creative excellence as a Wammie Award–nominated runner-up. As a recording artist, his debut single, “Amazing God,” has touched the hearts of many, reflecting his passion for worship and his desire to inspire through music.

Deeply committed to community outreach, Overseer Herring actively serves by feeding the homeless, praying for the sick, and supporting the elderly. His ministry is rooted in the belief that faith must be demonstrated through love, action, and service.

 

In addition to his ministry work, Overseer Herring has a strong history of leadership in the community. He proudly served as the youngest member of the Development Corporation of Columbia Heights (DCCH) Board of Directors in Washington, D.C., contributing to efforts that strengthened and uplifted the local community.

Overseer Herring relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2021, where he continues to lead, serve, and build impactful ministry. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Shanita Herring, and a proud father of four children—two boys and two girls.

In his personal time, Overseer Herring enjoys roller skating, dancing, and creating music, reflecting his vibrant personality and creative spirit.
